Dome, Bullet, PTZ Surveillance Camera Introduction

Surveillance cameras come in different form factors and offer unique features. They are categorized into three types, dome cameras, bullet cameras, and PTZ.
Although dome and bullet cameras are different in appearance, their operating principles are the same, and their functionalities are similar. Certain areas may fit for deploying domes over bullet cameras and vise versa.

Dome Cameras

The dome cameras are named for their smooth arc-shaped structure.
The dome cameras are highly concealed and less noticeable, reducing the uncomfortable feeling brought by the surveillance cameras. Generally, they have no waterproof design and are often installed at entrances and exits of various places, such as building entrances, apartment doors, elevator doors, etc.

Bullet Cameras

Bullet cameras are cylinder shape in various lengths.
The bullet cameras have a conspicuous appearance and can deter crime. The visor on top of the lens blocks the unwanted glare and rain to display images normally. The body is weatherproof and is suitable to deploy to various places where surveillance is required.

PTZ

The lens of a PTZ is well protected by a durable case, similar to that of a dome camera. PTZ offers more advantages among the three camera types.
It can be operated remotely on direction, zoom, and set fixed patrol points. The monitoring range is vast and far in the distance. It is often installed at the highest point in a large environment or location where it is inconvenient to deploy many cameras.
It can also fulfill video conferences, remote teaching, and other recording methods requiring various viewing angles.
